Practice Philosophy

The practice was established in 1980. Our aim is to offer the best in dental care to adults and their children under private contract only.

All staff attend regular training sessions and seminars so that the highest standards are maintained.

Patients are free to choose between paying fees for treatment or joining an appropriate Denplan scheme.

The Denplan system works extremely well, allows us to provide you with the best in preventive care at a reasonable cost and is a way of working that we can recommend. Evidence that the quality of care we offer you is of the highest standard. is in the fact that we are a Denplan Excel Accredited Practice. This means that Denplan complete a rigorous annual check of administrative and clinical excellence. The practice has maintained its Excel Accreditation constantly since 2002. We are the only Excel Accredited Practice in Kings Lynn and West Norfolk. Private fees and the Denplan monthly contributions are set by the practice according to guidelines published by the General Dental Practitioners Association. To maintain the best in quality of care we are constantly introducing improvements and innovations in techniques and materials.

We are mercury free and haven’t used amalgam (silver fillings containing mercury) since 1994. When treatment is needed which is beyond the scope of the practice we make orthodontic referrals only to specialist orthodontists and other referrals only to dentists who are on the Specialist Register.

We are a preventive practice. There are only two dental diseases; tooth decay and gum disease. No one needs to suffer tooth decay and advice will be given on how to prevent it which will work if accepted. Gum disease is more complex but the best support and advice will be offered.

When a dentist asks about your or your child’s diet or oral hygiene habits, he or she is asking so that any problems can be identified and the best advice can be given, not to blame or criticise. Our objective is to maintain health, function and appearance for every patient using a minimum of intervention. Treatment will be guided by each patient’s wishes and no treatment will be undertaken without a full explanation of that treatment, its cost and its consequences, or without the patient’s informed consent. The success of the treatment we offer is proportional to the strength of the relationship we can build with you. We hope to build this relationship by spending as much time talking to each other as possible.
